A short film that is near and dear to me

Over the past couple years I have watched my dear friend Kara battle through a barrage of health problems stemming from stage 4 colorectal cancer that went undiagnosed for some time. Her bravery and resilience in the face of this is extraordinary and inspiring to say the least.

Behind her in all this is her husband Charles, who has been a resolute caregiver in the myriad ways that one is required to be there for someone facing the challenges she is. It’s easy for this effort to go unacknowledged by those focusing, as he is, on Kara.

I’m glad that he turned to his talents as a writer and filmmaker to express this and share his own struggles with an audience and I’m honored and grateful that he asked me to narrate.
